克劳迪娅·戈尔丁

克劳迪娅·戈尔丁出生在美国纽约的一个犹太人家庭，高中就读于布朗克斯科学高中，大学就读于康奈尔大学。在芝加哥大学期間在蓋瑞·貝克教授(1992諾貝爾經濟學獎)的課堂學習勞動經濟學，並師從勞勃·福格爾(1993諾貝爾經濟學獎)利用經濟理論和計量方法分析經濟制度的變化。1972年获芝加哥大学经济学博士。

戈尔丁以研究女性在美国经济发展中所起的作用而闻名，其研究领域还涵盖经济史、劳动经济学、性别经济学、家庭经济学及教育经济学。^[2]戈尔丁还曾对女性劳动力，以及女性劳动力在劳动力市场中的效果进行研究，这项研究对经济学及经济史研究带来了深入的影响^[3]。

戈尔丁研究论文曾被法国《世界报》^[4]、美国《纽约时报》^[5]及美国有线电视新闻网引用^[6]。
