The Seattle SuperSonics (also called the Seattle Sonics) were an American professional basketball team based in Seattle, Washington that played in the Pacific and Northwest Divisions of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1967 until its final season in 2007–2008. The team moved to Oklahoma City in 2008, changing its name to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The SuperSonics have been looking into getting back into the NBA as an expansion team in the coming years, the fans have really wanted a Seattle NBA team for a while since they disbanded in 2008.
