Salyut 2
Soviet space station which was launched in 1973
Salyut 2 was the Soviet Union's second space station. It was also known as OPS-1 and was the first station in the Almaz program. Almaz was a program to make military space stations to spy on other countries.
Salyut 2 was launched into orbit on 3 April 1973 but was damaged before it could be used. It was burned up in the atmosphere in May 1973.
