Peter Garrett
Australian musician, activist, and former politician
Peter Robert Garrett (born 16 April 1953[1]) is an Australian musician, activist, environmentalist and politician. In 2004 he was elected to the House of Representatives as the member for the Division of Kingsford Smith. He served as the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, and the Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth. He is from the Australian Labor Party. He did not stand for re-election in the 2013 election.
