Nasta Palazhanka
Belarusian politician
Nasta Palazhanka (Russian: Наста Палажанка) is an activist in Belarus.[1][2] In 2011, she received the International Women of Courage Award from the U. S. State Department.[3][4]

Life
Palazhanka became part of the youth movement in Belarus at the age of 14. In 2011 she became the Deputy Chairperson of the Malady Front (Young Front), an NGO in Belarus.[3] She worked for freedom and human rights in Belarus, in spite of threats, harassment, and imprisonment.[1]
In September 2011, she was engaged to another Young Front activist, Zmitser Dashkevich.[5] They got married in December 2012, when Palazhanka visited him in Hrodno prison.[6]
In July 2022, Nasta and Zmitser Dashkevich were sentenced for participating in the 2020 protests.[7]
