Marisela Morales Ibáñez is a Mexican lawyer. She was Attorney General of Mexico.[1] In 2011 she received the International Women of Courage Award from the U.S. Department of State.[2][3]

Life and work
Morales was born in Mexico City. She got a degree in law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She finished a master's degree in criminal science from the National Institute of Criminal Sciences.[1]
After Morales finished school, she was the Assistant Attorney General for Specialized Investigation of Organized Crime. On March 31, 2011, President Felipe Calderón named Morales as the Attorney General of Mexico.[4][5][6]
