Lee County is a county found in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2020 census, 83,343 people lived there.[1] Its county seat is Tupelo.[2]

History

Lee County was founded on October 26, 1866, and named for Robert E. Lee.[3]

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 453 square miles (1,170 km2), of which 450 square miles (1,200 km2) is land and 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2) (0.7%) is water.[4]
