municipality of the Philippines and capital of the province of Sulu

Jolo is a city which is the capital of the Sulu province of the Philippines. In 2015, 125,564 people lived there. That same year, 40% of people living there were poor.[1]

Islamist bombers attacked Jolo in 2019 and 2020.
