Janaki Ballabh Patnaik

Janaki Ballabh Patnaik (Odia: ଜାନକୀ ବଲ୍ଲଭ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ; 3 January 1927 – 21 April 2015) was an Indian politician. He was the Governor of Assam from 27 November 2009 to 11 December 2014. He was Chief Minister of Odisha from 9 June 1980 to 7 December 1989 and again from 15 March 1995 to 17 February 1999. He was a leader of the Indian National Congress
Patnaik was born in Rameshwar, Puri district, Odisha to a Hindu family. He married to Jayanti Patnaik from 1953 until his death. They had a son and two daughters.
Patnaik died from a heart attack on 21 April 2015 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He was 88.[1]
