Iwate Museum of Art

The Iwate Museum of Art (岩手県立美術館, iwate-ken-ritsu bijutsukan) or IMA[1] is a prefectural art museum in northern Honshu. It is at Morioka in Iwate Prefecture.[2]

The museum's art is created by local artists such as Yorozu Tetsugoro, Matsumoto Shunsuke, and Funakoshi Yasutake.[3]

After the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, all the temporary exhibitions during April 2011- March 2012 were canceled.[4]
