Charles Osgood
American radio and television commentator
Charles Osgood Wood III (January 8, 1933 – January 23, 2024),[1] known professionally as Charles Osgood, was an American commentator and writer. Osgood was born in New York City. He was best known for being the host of CBS News Sunday Morning from April 10, 1994, until September 25, 2016.[2] He was also the narrator of the 2008 animated movie Horton Hears a Who!.
Osgood died from dementia at his home in New Jersey on January 23, 2024, two weeks after his 91st birthday.[3]
