Krasnozavodsk

Krasnozavodsk (Roushie: Краснозаво́дск; lit. "red factory") is a toun in Sergiyevo-Posadsky Destrict o Moscow Oblast, Roushie, locatit on the Kunya River (Dubna's tributar) 88 kilometer (55 mi) northeast o Moscow an 15 kilometer (9.3 mi) north o Sergiyev Posad. Population: 13,392 (2010 Census);[3] 13,549 (2002 Census);[4] 29,786 (1989 Census).[5]

Krasnozavodsk wis foondit in 1915 as a dounset servicin a mechanical factory. Initially, it haed nae name. Efter 1917, it wis cried Vozrozhdeniye (Возрожде́ние, or revival), Zagorsky (Заго́рский), due tae its vicinity tae Zagorsk (nou Sergiyev Posad); an Krasnozavodsky (Краснозаво́дский). In 1940, the dounset wis grantit toun status an renamit Krasnozavodsk. In 1999, a pairt o Krasnozavodsk an the nearbi dounset o Novostroyka wur incorporatit intae the toun o Peresvet.[6]

Some 7 kilometer (4.3 mi) north o Krasnozavodsk is the dounset o Bogorodskoye, kent as the centre o ane o the auldest popular handicrafts—frettit toys an sma sculpturs made o saft kinds o firth.
