The Cure er eit engelsk rockeband frå Crawley i West Sussex.^[1] Det vart danna i 1978 og har hatt mange forskjellige medlemer gjennom åra. Den einaste som har vore med frå starten er gitarist, vokalist og låtskrivar Robert Smith.

Bandet har i tillegg til kommersiell suksess hatt stor påverknad innan alternativ rock, til dømes på band som Interpol og The Smashing Pumpkins.^[2]^[3]^[4] I 2019 vart The Cure innlemma i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.^[5]^[6]
