അലൻ ഗുത്
പ്രപഞ്ചത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ച ദ്രുതവികാസ സിദ്ധാന്തത്തിന്റെ ( Inflationary theory)[1] ഉപജ്ഞാതാവാണ് അലൻ ഹാർവി ഗുത് എന്ന അലൻ ഗുത്. അമേരിക്കയിലെ ന്യൂജഴ്സിയിൽ ( ജ:1947 ഫെബ്രുവരി 27) ജനിച്ച ഗുത് ബിരുദപഠനം മസ്സാചുസെറ്റ്സ് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്നോളജിയിലാണ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.[2]

ദ്രുതവികാസ സിദ്ധാന്തം (Inflationary theory)
മഹാവിസ്ഫോടനത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യനിമിഷങ്ങളിൽ എന്തു സംഭവിച്ചിരിയ്ക്കാമെന്നു ഈ സിദ്ധാന്തം വിവരിയ്ക്കുന്നു. അതിതാപനത്തിൽ നിന്നും സെക്കന്റിന്റെ ദശലക്ഷക്കണക്കിലൊരംശത്തിൽ താപനില 22 കെൽവിനായിത്താഴുകയും അതിനു ശേഷം 10−6സെക്കന്റുകൾക്കകം സൗരയൂഥവലിപ്പത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു വൈചിത്ര്യം രൂപം കൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തു. താപനില109കെൽവിനായപ്പോൾ അതിനകത്തു നിന്നും വികിരണങ്ങൾ പുറത്തേയ്ക്കു വരാൻ തുടങ്ങി.ഒരു സെക്കന്റിനുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ ഈ പ്രക്രിയകളെല്ലാം അവസാനിച്ചുവെന്നും അപ്പോൾ മുതൽ പ്രപഞ്ചം വികസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കയാണെന്നും ഇത് സിദ്ധാന്തിയ്ക്കുന്നു.[3]
