Timo Werner (German pronunciation: [ˈtiːmoː ˈvɛʁnɐ] ;[2] [3] born 6 March 1996) is a German professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur , on loan from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig , and for the Germany national team .
Werner began his senior club career with VfB Stuttgart in 2013, becoming the club's youngest debutant and goalscorer. He signed with RB Leipzig in 2016, at 20 years old, for a used to be club record transfer of €10 million. He set the record as the youngest player to reach 150 and 200 appearances in the Bundesliga.
