Lenticel (talk · contribs) - Lenticel is a user who I stumbled upon at RfD. His sensible arguments at a non-often travelled area of Wikipedia caused me to look more into this user. I liked what I found. He contributes frequently to several different reference desks, and he is an active contributor at Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines as well. He of course is a pretty good article writer as well, as evident by his helping get Cultural depictions of spiders to GA, and he's helped with the GA Tamaraw. Still, his specialty is his sense in AfD/XfD participation, an area which he would be great in when he becomes an administrator. Wizardman 00:31, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Co-nom by bibliomaniac15 (talk · contribs): I was flummoxed when he requested a "DYK administrator" as a coach, but since I have had a few, I ventured to guide him. I believe that he is the best rebuttal against those who say their English is too poor to write articles. Lenticel's English is not the best English (I would not dare to venture that mine is either), but he is especially bold and adventurous when it comes to writing articles. I found that his views and opinions are rock solid and that he shows great zeal for being a Wikipedian. I am afraid, however, that some of us will mistake this zeal for power hunger. As I have noted before, though, such views are arbitrary to the extreme, too "simple" answers to the questions, and the candidate is seen as having no desire for the tools, while passion for the project is viewed as overdesire of the tools. bibliomaniac15 00:59, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
Optional question from --VS
It is based on my talk with a Filipino admin here and Gavin's RFC. Back then I thought that the admin pool needs more Filipinos to assist in Philippine related articles and matters. The Coffee suggested that the project doesn't need new Filipino admins and adviced me to improve my edits as I will fail any RfA at that stage. So I set my sights on this: I will not become an admin just because of my nationality and I must improve myself to be fitting of the mop. I never removed that phrase because everytime I see it, it says "Are my last actions the actions of a good admin?" Since then I tried to lessen the "No's" and increase the "Yes's"--Lenticel (talk) 07:15, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
