You are hereby appointed Witch Finder General. Unfortunately, the budget is rather tight and you need to supply your own matches for any burnings. Please read the instruction manual above before proceeding. (gifted by GraemeL)

I, for one, think you made the right call. It takes some guts to stand up to the disruptive mob and tell them they are wrong. AutomaticStrikeout 13:41, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
6. And I'll have bad dreams about the Bono version. --Joopercoopers (talk) 00:05, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
6 ... the Bono question was a sucker one, I think, because everyone (including me) presumably would go that's so bad it has to be Shatner... ++Lar: t/c 00:22, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
I got eight with the volume muted. Nine once you factor in the bonus point for being the creator of this. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 01:01, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Seven. Misfired on the Blake question. Sceptre(talk) 18:12, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
5. Who is or are Blake? The Leonard Cohen version is most beautiful because of his voice, but I prefer other songs such as Everybody Knows. The most consistently great writer of popular song still living. --TS 22:36, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Giggled a bit the other day when I encountered this song in Watchmen. That is an alarmingly good film. --TS 16:34, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
6. Missed the boyband question and the spoken word version. Not bad considering I've never heard of this song or any of its myriad recordings before, and was unfamiliar with about a third of the performers listed. Horologium(talk) 03:13, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
6, got the 'by the original artist' wrong and one other I don't care about either... and Willie Nelson should be ashamed of himself.--Alfmelmac 15:07, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
6, but I guessed on a couple and happened to be right. GlassCobra 21:35, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
4! - I'd heard of like 4-5 of those artists before. Luck + easy last helped.Lejman (talk) 09:54, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

5! But I must admit that one was just pure luck (I can take credit for Cohen, Buckley, Bono and Burke). -- lucasbfrtalk 13:24, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
5, with some luck because there were a number of artists I hadn't heard of. *Dan T.* (talk) 14:37, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
6, and I am still kicking myself for not getting Bono. --Richhoncho (talk) 21:49, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
1, not saying which one to avoid an inadvertent spoiler for those who stumbled upod the challenge here by chance. In this vein, I cannot count Bono since I glimpsed it here, but I probably wouldn't have recognised him either. Wow, am I bad. And I like the song. 78.34.164.53 (talk) 04:27, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

5 - messed up kd/Bonnie, popera, and Bono (I expected better of him).--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:24, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
5 -- missed the same questions, amusingly enough... --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:25, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
2; what a disaster! RebirthThom 22:09, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
7 I am only familiar with the original Cohen version but got others through voice recognition or logic, and some luck. I discovered Leonard Cohen from "The Future" over end credits of Natural Born Killers and found his other works via Youtube. Thank heavens for YouTube and Wikipedia!
6 -- Missed the "poperatic" and spoken word versions. P.S. Other than Buckley's and Imogen Heap's versions, I think most of the covers have been rather pointless, bringing nothing new to the song. Mike R (talk) 15:54, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

7 -- Just like someone before me, I can't tell "popular" operatic ensembles apart. BLAKE?!?!?!?! I was only familiar with the Jeff Buckley version, and they should have had a tie-in to his definitive song - Last Goodbye. Better than Hallelujah. Tim Sailor (talk) 20:59, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
