The second section is SIG as an acronym and the first section is all other uses. It's not an important distinction but it helps to break up a rather long list and is similar to some other disambiguation pages, although not all. If you strongly believe it should be a single list then merge them but resort it to keep the alphabetical ordering. -- JDX 05:41, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sig can be short for "Signatura," which is a Latin word. The short form "Sig" is used by the pharmacy industry as a name for prescription directions. Example: Take one tablet daily. Can this be added to the page? --Xandell (talk) 20:40, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
