The Love Unlimited Orchestra
The Love Unlimited Orchestra adalah sebuah orkestra beranggotakan 40 orang yang didirikan oleh Barry White, dan difungsikan sebagai sebuah unit pendukung untuk Barry dan band vokal cewek, Love Unlimited.[1] Sejak awal tahun 1970-an, The Love Unlimited Orchestra juga merekam beberapa singel dan album dengan nama mereka sendiri,[1] termasuk singel instrumental mereka, "Love's Theme".

Karier The Love Unlimited Orchestra bermula apabila mereka didirikan pada tahun 1972 sebagai sebuah unit pendukung untuk grup vokal cewek milik Barry White, Love Unlimited, untuk album studio debut mereka.[1] Tahun berikutnya, debut studio solo Barry, I've Got So Much to Give, didukung oleh The Love Unlimited Orchestra.[1]
Lagu andalan mereka adalah singel instrumental tahun 1973, "Love's Theme".[2] Lagu yang diciptakan oleh Barry White, berada di posisi jawara selama satu pekan di tangga lagu Pop dan posisi keenam di Belanda,[3] dan menganugerahkan sebuah sertifikasi emas pada bulan Februari 1974.[4] Lagu andalan tersebut ditampilkan di dalam album studio debut The Love Unlimited Orchestra, Rhapsody in White, yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1974.[1]
Dua album-album follow-up, OST. Together Brothers dan White Gold, dirilis pada akhir tahun itu.[1] Album White Gold menampilkan singel "Satin Soul", yang berada di posisi ke-22 di tangga lagu Pop pada awal tahun 1975.[5] Pada tahun 1976, Kenny Gorelick, bergabung bersama The Love Unlimited Orchestra sebagai seorang pemain saksofon.[1] Ray Parker Jr. juga menjadi seorang anggota pada pertengahan tahun 1970-an.[6]
The Love Unlimited Orchestra terus merekam album sehingga tahun 1983 lewat album studio mereka, Rise.[1] Pada tahun 1981, The Love Unlimited Orchestra pindah ke label rekaman milik Barry White, Unlimited Gold. Album studio kedua mereka, Welcome Aboard,[1] yang dikeluarkan pada tahun itu, menampilkan aransemen dan komposer, Webster Lewis.
