CMMI (ראשי תיבות של: Capability Maturity Model Integration) היא שיטה בתחום הנדסת תוכנה ובתחום פיתוח ארגוני לשיפור ביצועי הארגון. ניתן להשתמש ב-CMMI לשיפור ביצועי פרויקט, שיפור ביצועי מחלקה או שיפור ביצועי הארגון כולו.
CMMI פותח באוניברסיטת קרנגי מלון המחזיקה בסימן הרשום עליו ורשמה עליו פטנט. ה-Software Enginnering Institute מתאר אותו באופן הבא: "CMMI מסייע באינטגרציה של פונקצינאליות שבאופן מסורתי נפרדת, מציב מטרות ועדיפויות בשיפור תהליכים, מספק הנחיות לביצוע תהליכי שיפור איכות ומספק נקודת התייחסות לצורך הערכת התהליכים הנוכחיים בארגון"[1].
בשנת 2005 קיבל לראשונה מפעל בישראל את הדירוג הגבוה ביותר, CMMI5, והוא הוענק למפעל מלמ של התעשייה האווירית.
מסגרת המודל
בגרסה הנוכחית מטפל CMMI בשלושה תחומים:
- CMMI For Development) CMMI-Dev) - פיתוח מוצרים ושירותים.
- CMMI For Services) CMMI-SVC) - הקמת, הספקת וניהול שירותים
- CMMI for Acquisition) CMMI-ACQ) - רכישת מוצרים ושירותים.
- ניתן להשתמש במודל עם דגש על תהליכים שנחשבים לחשובים בהיבט של מימוש היעדים המידיים של הארגון. שימוש זה נקרא במונחי CMMI מתמשך (Continious). שימוש אחר האפשרי במודל של CMMI מתמקד בתהליכים בהם יש רמת סיכון גבוהה. אופן זה של שימוש נקרא מדורג (Staged).
- אזורי התהליכים Process areas או אוסף התהליכים בהם מתמקדים, משתנים בהתאם לנושא בו מתמקדים: רכישה, שירותים או מוצרים.
שישה עשר תהליכים הם תהליכי הליבה, המשותפים לכל שלושת הנושאים. תהליכי הליבה מתוארים בטבלה הבאה:
