Here is a list of organizations that may warrant articles in the cue sports article and category space. Priority should be given to those that are redlinks in extant articles.

Leagues, tours and sanctioning bodies

International

Priority should first be given to those that are the most redlinked from other articles, and then by breadth of coverage and/or importance to the sport(s) globally.

  • World Nine-ball Association (redlink from Jim Rempe; 1970s org.)
  • World Association of Special Pool (WASP) official site
  • International Professional Pool Players Association formerly International Pool Association (IPA) [1]official site (redlink at Eight-ball pool (British variation)
  • Confédération International de Billard Artistique (and redir to it from International Confederation of Artistic Billiards, International Artistic Billiards Confederation, maybe also Federation versions; effective redlink from Artistic billiards)
  • International Artistic Poolplayers Association (IAPA) (redlink at Stefano Pelinga; may have merged with World Pool-Billiard Association's Artistic Pool Division (WPA-APD); see http://www.artisticpoolplayers.com/iapa_board/letter_to_wpa.doc for members and stuff as of 2006 or so).
  • Professional Cuesports Association (PCA) (redlink from Earl Strickland; defunct?; maybe US-only; founded by C.J. Wiley)
  • Universal Pool League [2] (UPL; founded recently by Corey Deuel; uses WPA/BCA rules)

Regional & continental

  • European & United Kingdom Pool Federation (EUKPF) official site
  • North American Confederation of Professional Billiards Associations NACPBA (US + Canada; seems to want to compete with IPT, and also maybe to have other roles; nature of the org. isn't really very clear)
  • The Association for Privately Owned and Operated Leagues[3] a.k.a. The Association for P.O.O.L./The Association for POOL a.k.a. TAP League (independent US/Canada league; redir from versions of name w/o "The")
  • North American Poolshooters Association (NAPA, formerly National Amateur Pool Association) (http://napaleagues.com, http://www.napaplayers.com; was very small as of 2009, but as of 2011 appears to be in 28 US states, Alberta, and Puerto Rico; not Mexico yet)
  • Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS) (WCBS confederation; at least 1 redlink)

National & subnational

Snooker & English billiards

Industry groups

Priority should first be given to those that are the most redlinked from other articles, then by breadth of topic covered, and/or importance to the sport(s).

International

  • (none at present)

Regional

Halls of Fame

  • WPBA Hall of Fame (companion article to BCA Hall of Fame)
  • International Pocket Billiards Hall of Fame (effective redlink from Jimmy Moore)
  • One-pocket Hall of Fame (effective redlink at Efren Reyes; what actual org. runs this?)
  • Philippines Hall of Fame (effective redlink at Jose Parica; not billiards-specific; what actual org. runs this?)

Unknown

Priority should be on identifying them and classifying them properly above.

Definitely non-notable

Junk entries that fall down, go boom on contact with WP:ORG:

  • Any local, county, regional or state/province league, with conceivable but exceedingly unlikely possible exceptions (probably only because of some non-pool related news - e.g. was harboring terrorists ;-) Some examples include:
    • Amateur Pool League (APL) (limited to South East Pennsylvania; http://www.amateurpoolleague.com/)
    • American Billiards League (ABA) (now limited to Jacksonville, Florida, apparently, but used to have other southern US states; http://www.ablpool.com)
    • Arkansas Three-Ball Association (ATBA) ("acquired" by NAPA above, and was apparently limited to Garland Co., AR)
    • National Amateur Pool League (NAPL) (presently limited to New York City; started by Tony Robles and sponsored by Poison Cues; could take off but hasn't yet)
    • North Herts Premier Pool League (NHPPL) (just a UK Blackball league division, with a self-aggrandizing Web presence and vanity article editors; article was AfD'd quite successfully). Could come back as North Hertfordshire Premier Pool League.
