Wikipedia:Bad Idea Machine
At times, people may be tempted to use a Bad Idea Machine. However, this is strongly, strongly discouraged on Wikipedia and in real life.
The Bad Idea Machine has been used to suggest that...
- ...pages only be editable by registered users
- ...we have a policy requiring the use of common sense
- ...people be required to donate before they can edit
- ...autoconfirmed usership can be removed by admins
- ...you can't delete the main page
- ...you shouldn't shove beans up your nose
- ...pages only be editable by experts
- ...the Bad Idea Machine has good ideas and not bad ideas
- ...the Bad Idea Machine should be destroyed
- ...all pages should be deleted
- ...pages should be censored because political correctness says it's offensive
- ...all administrators should be desysopped
- ...editors climb the Reichstag dressed as Spider-man to gain an advantage in a content dispute
- ...not all pages can be created
- ...the waste of time and typing this can "entertain" readers.
- ...ypu probably made a type and don't want to fix it.
- ...you have horrible grammar and can't go back to fix and do it all again, therefore making your time spent more.
- ...you may have lots of ideas but they're not really that good.
- ...Wikipedia is controlled by China
- ...there are no more suggestions
- ...you can't create a draft since you don't have references
