Carlier spent time at the INF Clairefontaine academy, before moving to Guingamp.[1]
Carlier played professionally in Ligue 2 for Angers SCO, Troyes AC and Nîmes Olympique and in the Segunda Liga for Desportivo Aves.[2][3]
