I've given you the standard welcome message to provide some helpful links, but I also wanted to reach out personally to thank you for your edits to Jack family disappearance - I hope you don't mind that I made some small changes. Since you're a new user, I just wanted to quickly explain the rationale behind the changes I made:
  • Firstly, adding the transcript of Mabel Jack's MMIW statement was an excellent idea, but in future, please try to format your references using a citation template to provides context about the material you're referencing - bare URL references are highly discouraged on Wikipedia. There are several templates available for formatting references, but in Visual Editor, you can most easily format your references using the "Cite" button on the top bar. Please see the guidelines for citing sources for more information, or feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
  • Secondly, I noticed that you placed your footnotes before the full stop at the end of sentences. On Wikipedia, our manual of style dictates that footnotes should come after any adjacent punctuation - here's the specific section of the manual of style that discusses this.
Thanks again for your contributions to the Jack family disappearance article :) Cheers, Ethmostigmus (talk | contribs) 11:49, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
