Hello. Welcome to my talk page. I mainly edited in areas of Hawaiian, Tahitian, Tongan and American history and mainly write biographies of people who I believe history has forgotten. - KAVEBEAR (talk) 00:29, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Itchner, Huahine".Cordialement

Queen Emma of Hawaii - travel to Europe and the United States (1865-1866) Draft file now on WikiCommons, happy to amend/correct it. The three colours are my way of avoiding the confusion caused by her tour revisiting places. I think adding the travels of her companions might be a little too much! @Amitchell125: This looks great! Thank you so much!
Here are some minor tweaks: 1. Can you remove US Virgin Islands to just Saint Thomas. 2. Can you make the route from Panama to San Francisco curve and cross over the ocean to convey she went by ship? KAVEBEAR (talk) 06:22, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

On 3 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Nāmākēhā, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Nāmākēhā was sacrificed in 1797 after he led an unsuccessful rebellion against Hawaiian king Kamehameha I? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Nāmākēhā. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Nāmākēhā), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

On 24 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Zhu Cilang, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that when Zhu Cilang was asked why his family lost the Mandate of Heaven, he blamed it on their "treacherous ministers"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Zhu Cilang. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Zhu Cilang), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. It comes from a thesis written by his descendant Marie Alohalani Brown. The sources for the August 1 date seem to be Ka Hae Hawaii and the Pacific Commercial Advertiser. I think it would be fine to include both dates given that the records is more primary than the newspapers. Honestly, a difference of one day seems a bit trivial. There are more details about the marriage that is left out for the sake of brevity as well. KAVEBEAR (talk) 00:09, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
