"One of three blue water lakes"
Can someone explain what
West Okoboji is often considered to be one of three blue water lakes in the world. The other two are Lake Geneva in Wisconsin and Lake Louise in Canada.
is supposed to mean? As far as I can tell, these lakes have little in common. --Dcfleck (talk) 20:24, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

The water in the lake remains surprisingly blue throughout the year in the winter you can see almost all the way to the bottom or atleast in some parts 40-50 feet deep. It is very clear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.31.12.227 (talk) 04:23, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
