I created this page has a parent article for the Tongo Tongo ambush, Attack on Nigerien and American soldiers (December 2017), Niger Air Base 201. Operation Juniper Shield is too vague and doesn't show what is happening right now in Niger and in West Africa. I could change it to include all of West Africa or maybe just Mali. The official scope of Operation Juniper Shield includes operations in Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Tunisia. The Juniper Shield article should reflect the actual history of the operation, not merely be limited to Mali.XavierGreen (talk) 23:04, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Late response, anyway I would suggest we merge these two articles Ianp18 (talk) 08:10, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

So, with regards to the the 2023 Nigerien coup d'état and the subsequent 2023 Nigerien crisis, I feel that this article is very much in need of major updating, especially as this involves US Military Intervention in Niger. I hope y'all are able to update this, and I'll help around whenever I can. Thank you. OrlandoApollosFan69 (talk) 05:35, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
