I was interested to find that this still floats around on the Internet. AFAIK I coined this phrase back in 1992 using IRC to mean an emphasized lionesque sound, generally reserved for situations when an(other) explative might be less well recieved. Then I find Wikipedia has it redirected to "roar" which is not wholly incorrect, but then it seems the "roar" page should have some mention of RAWR...

Rawr > Roar (utterance)
