Talk:Priority (fencing)
Latest comment: 4 years ago by Jslimmer in topic alternate definition
This needs to be cleaned up a lot. Priority is a heavily contested subject so NPOV needs to be considered heavily.
Also, there are multiple definitions of this across different articles that are slightly conflicting, I think they should all point to the same article.
alternate definition
It's important to note that the term priority is also used to reference a tiebreaker for the entire bout. Before a one minute sudden victory overtime round, one fencer is randomly assigned priority. This form of priority, however, means that they win the bout automatically if the minute expires without a touche scored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.142.177.22 (talk) 01:51, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- This use of 'Priority' is colloquial, the rulebook doesn't actually refer to that as "priority", It probably doesn't warrant it's own article, but some mention of the colloquial use might be worthwhile? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jslimmer (talk • contribs) 15:56, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
