Pineapple Buns and Pineapples
"Although the pastry is known as "pineapple bun", it contains no pineapple." - yes traditionally the recipe doesn't contain pineapples, but this contributor has personally encountered some pineapple buns that literally have pineapple fillings in some Chinese restaurants in Auckland in New Zealand. They are not made by Hong Kong or Guangdong Chinese-origin bakers so perhaps this is a misunderstanding on the part of the chef as to what "pineapple bun" means?? --JNZ 23:51, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I was about to bring this up, but I suppose now I cannot say there are no pineapple buns with a pineapple filling. Vikkileung 20:52, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

For some reason, I can't edit the caption of the picture with the agrammatical caption "pineapple buns just out the oven"! Somebody do it, please?WIERDGREENMAN (talk) 02:09, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
