Why was the following entire section of this article deleted? NO comments were added to support the move so I am putting it back in as per the NPOV policy of Wikipedia. The statement is a fact, and now that the Academy Nominated film North Country has been in the spotlight, the class action lawsuit is clearly what the range is known for in the public mind.
If anyone has an objection to this, please comment in the talk pages and substantiate your reasons for removing this historical fact from this entry.
I changed a statement saying that ore is mined from both open pit and underground mines. I don't know the exact date but the only underground mine was closed in the early 1962, its open for tourists but there is no ore extracted from the Soudan Mine.Zath42 (talk) 09:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
