We don't really have much on women in this game. I think I'm about the only one to do anything on it, but still...

There's the women here, but there are also notable women in other forms of draughts/checkers. I'm more familiar with English draughts or what the Dutch, and us Americans, foolishly call Checkers. This site mentions only a few women in that. One name they mention, Patricia Breen (draughts player), I did an article on. The other is someone named "Amangul Durdyev" who might be worth an article if I can find anything on her. Turkmenistan is kind of an Internet-poor nation though and draughts/checkers isn't paid much attention to compared to bridge or chess.--T. Anthony (talk) 08:52, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

International draughts

I think this page shoudl be renamed International Draughts Wolrd Championship (10 * 10) as per hte Draughts page. Marion Tinsley page states he was the World Champion of Draughts in the 50s and 60 and that is 8 * 8 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wakelamp (talkcontribs) 05:17, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm late here, but I created an article on the World Checkers/Draughts Championship to deal with that. I'm not sure that name is right, but hopefully it's a start.--T. Anthony (talk) 12:53, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
