  • ... that Laura Jean McKay began writing a novel about a fictional global pandemic in 2013, which was coincidentally published in March 2020? Source: "Laura started writing The Animals in That Country in 2013, after she sent short story collection, Holiday in Cambodia, to print." [1]. The publication date is from the publisher's website here: [2]

  • Comment: Not sure if the hook 100% works, I'm trying to get at the coincidence of her having worked on this novel about a global pandemic for 7 years and then it being released at the time COVID-19 became a global pandemic. Will keep thinking, but wanted to nominate now so I don't miss the 7-day window. Grateful for any suggestions and thank you in advance!

The hook reads fine to me. Length is OK and the same for the article which is well referenced and new enough. Its neutral. The hook facts are all reffed. I have requested an image here, as there is none at present. No obvious close paraphrasing. Good to go — Preceding unsigned comment added by Victuallers (talkcontribs) 09:59, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
Thanks! Yeah now I read it again I'm happy with the hook. Fingers crossed for a photo and thank you for requesting! Cheers, Chocmilk03 (talk) 22:37, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
