Per WP:CAPS ("Wikipedia avoids unnecessary capitalization") and WP:TITLE, this is a generic, common term, not a propriety or commercial term, so the article title should be downcased. In addition, WP:MOS says that a compound item should not be upper-cased just because it is abbreviated with caps. Lowercase will match the formatting of related article titles. Comment, leaning oppose. As Dohn says, the sources almost universally capitalise this and it is the Inventory Information Approval System. I think there's a good chance it's a proper noun. Jenks24 (talk) 01:46, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So there's only one system, and it's "owned" by a person or company? It would be nice if the article said when it was developed, to pin it down as a proprietary thing. At least it gives the country, buried at the end of the opening sentence. I'd assumed there'd be more than one system for approving inventory information (in the world, even in the US).
