Proposed changes

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Add to 1st section: It also partners with businesses to provide tenant experience management services and change more than 150 locations to more than 200.[1]

History section:
Cut 2012 from 1st paragraph for repetition (already mentioned in 1st section).
Add founding location: Industrious was founded in Chicago...[2]
Add to top of section, after 1st sentence: The company built its business model on management agreements with building owners, enabling Industrious to operate portions of a building.[3] Industrious expanded into New York City in 2015 with a Brooklyn location, later moving its headquarters to Manhattan.[4] In 2019, Industrious announced the launch of its Tenant Experience platform, an offering where it partners with businesses to create and maintain amenities, event and conference spaces, and lobbies for businesses. Companies that have partnered with Industrious on this platform include Cushman & Wakefield and Nuveen.[5][6][7] In August 2023, CEO Jamie Hodari said the company’s revenue tripled since 2019, and its revenue growth rate was between 35% and 40%.[8]

Add to Partnerships section:

In February 2023, Nuveen announced a partnership with Industrious’s Tenant Experience platform to help manage the consumer branding and tenant experience across its portfolio of 64 office buildings in 13 states.[5]
In June 2023, the company announced a partnership with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council to offer company retreats at The Arts Center at Governors Island.[9]
In July 2023, the company partnered with Instacart, which became the official same-day snack, beverage, and supplies marketplace for its U.S. coworking spaces.[10]
In August 2023, the company announced a partnership with IKEA to open an Industrious location above the store in the San Francisco Meeting Place mall.[11]

Add to Acquisitions section:

In May 2021, Industrious acquired the listings platform and branding rights of the Canadian rent-by-the-day office company Breather.[12]
In May 2022, Industrious expanded globally, acquiring Great Room Offices and Welkin & Meraki to expand its footprint in Asia and Europe. Through these transactions, Industrious added almost 1 million square feet to the firm’s portfolio, with locations in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Paris, Brussels and the Netherlands. At the time of the announcement, the company expressed plans to double its international presence, possibly entering cities including Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Dublin, Tokyo, Shanghai and Beijing.[13]
In February 2024, Industrious subsidiary Breather and Deskpass, one of the largest networks of on-demand flexible workspaces, announced plans to merge and focus on offering shared workspaces for 90 days or less.[14]

Add to Notable Locations section:

Ponce City Market in Atlanta[15]
