Helen Allan/Hazel Miller

As far as I can tell Cricinfo and CricketArchive list this player as 'Hazel Miller': obviously Miller is her maiden name but Helen seems to come from this cited on the page. So I'm assuming we go with Cricinfo and CricketArchive, assuming the two are the same player, and move to either Hazel Allen or Hazel Miller (cricketer)? Also to note that on List of New Zealand women Test cricketers it links to Helen Miller, an American politician, just to confuse things further. Anyone who can confirm this/help out that would be great. Thanks, Mpk662 (talk) 11:43, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

I've rescued one of the links, which does show a Helen Miller went to the school mentioned and is listed as representing the national team at cricket. There is also a book listed as a ref, which is listed on google books, but can't see much of what it contains. From what I can see, the parental details in the book match what is in the article, but I can't see any of the details of her cricketing career. I'm inclined to go with the details on the page and assume that cricinfo / cricket archive have the forename wrong. Neither list a DoB, so we can't tell for certain if it is the same person. I would however suggest moving the article to Helen Miller (cricketer) as that was how she was known at the time she was notable. Spike 'em (talk) 13:35, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
The (actual) scorebook only lists an initial, not a forename: [1] Spike 'em (talk) 14:18, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
I have the book cited (The Book of New Zealand Women) and note that the biographical essay on Miller/Allan in the book was written by her daughter. The subject is not referred to as Hazel at all. I think this source should be considered reliable and that the Cricinfo and CricketArchive sources are either referring to a different person or are errors. Support moving the article to Helen Miller, though, as that is the name she used while notable as a cricketer. MurielMary (talk) 08:29, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
I have also raised concerns on cricinfo via their Contact Us form, so let's see if they do anything... Spike 'em (talk) 09:03, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
