Ship table template

The ship table contains more data than displayed with the present template. Requires attention. DFH 16:15, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Merge proposal

I'm suggesting that Landing Ship Heavy be merged into HMAS Tobruk (L 50), as Tobruk appears to be the only ship in the world with the Landing Ship Heavy designation, and there is very little scope for that article which would not be duplicated/duplicatable here. -- saberwyn 20:55, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

That seems sensible - I think that this is a RAN-only term, and Tobruk is the only LSH its operated. Nick-D (talk) 06:32, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Merge I agree - I originally created the LSH article out of symetry with other ship designation articles, but so long as the title redirects here, I think it would be fine. - Nick Thorne talk 07:47, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

The possible second design

The article states that the Round Table design was the successful of two studied for Tobruk. Is there any information as to what the unsuccessful design was? -- saberwyn 05:25, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Unfortunately the source doesn't say what the other design which was considered was. From memory, there's a similar-looking French ship from around this era which may have been the alternate given the ADF's procurement habits (or it could have been a "paper" design). Nick-D (talk) 06:40, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. -- saberwyn 06:49, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
