  • I would recommend deleting everything from "Navigant took advantage of the collapse..." through to "...as the sell-side advisor to Easton." (so, the remainder of the section) as overly detailed, poorly sourced to primary sources and/or dead links, and redundant of the table above.
  • Add to end of section: In April 2018, the company partnered with Baptist Health South Florida to form a joint venture providing revenue cycle management to healthcare organizations.[22][23] In August of that same year, Navigant divested its disputes, forensics and legal technology segment and its transaction advisory services practice in a $470 million sale to Ankura Consulting Group.[24][25] This may make sense as a new "Recent history" subsection.

Services:

  • Update title of section to "Business segments".
  • Replace introductory sentence ("Navigant sells four core services:"), which is no longer accurate, with "Navigant's offerings focus on three industry areas:"
  • Move "Dispute and investigative" subsection to the end, rename to "Disputes, forensics, and legal technology" (the actual name of the business unit), and update the final sentence to be a complete sentence with secondary sources: Navigant divested this unit to Ankura Consulting in August 2018.[24][25] I also think it may make sense to add a parenthetical (former) after the subsection title here.

Remainder of article:

  • I would recommend deleting the "Studies/research" section entirely. Its only sources are three primary sources, it's dated, and it only represents a small subsection of both Navigant's research and Navigant's work as a whole.
  • Incorporate the "Criticism" section into the "History" section per WP:STRUCTURE.
  • Update "Accolades" to "Recognition" for neutrality.
  • Replace "Category: Economics consulting firms" with the more accurate "Category: Management consulting firms of the United States".

Edit #1 to the lead was made. Edit #2 to the lead was impossible as I cannot find any evidence of that claim in the current article. Edit #3 to the lead was partially done — I removed {{third-party}} but I am not quite confident that it'd be appropriate to remove {{ad}} and would prefer that someone with more experience in either the subject area or in handling COI edit requests handle that particular request. Hi again. Now that some basic structural updates to this article have been made (thank you!), I'd like to request the addition of some contextual information, including restoring and cleaning up some deleted information.

  • Add after "From 1997 the company acquired a number of other companies.": William M. Goodyear became chairman and CEO of the company in 2000.[1]
  • Add to beginning of final paragraph: Julie Howard replaced Goodyear as CEO in 2012.[2]

1. Adding fate, defunct and parent parameters to infobox, with ref.

2. Updating tense throughout article lead.

@Spintendo and Justlettersandnumbers: No factual changes. The company has been acquired and while this has been added to the end of the lead, the rest of the article hasn't been updated to match. I'm requesting two edits:
1. Adding to infobox:
|fate = Acquired by Guidehouse
|defunct = October 2019 (2019-10)[1]
|parent = Guidehouse
2. Updating tense in article lead (bolding added for emphasis): Navigant Consulting, Inc. was an American management consultancy firm. It had offices in Asia, Europe and North America; the head office was in Chicago, Illinois. The stock was a component of the S&P 600 index. Navigant was acquired by Guidehouse in 2019.
Incidentally, this does not appear to be the correct application of WP:MINDREADER, which is for situations where an editor is in the middle of updating an article and isn't transparent about their process. Mary Gaulke (talk) 17:47, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
You were in the process of making an edit request and you weren't transparent about what changes you wanted to be made, so much so that two separate editors both requested clarification on what changes you wanted — clarifications which you then provided here on the talk page. I think you'd agree that there is a certain inefficiency in placing an edit request of this particular size in two different locations as you originally did. 'Guidehouse' is an American consulting firm for businesses and government entities. It is the successor to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s public sector business and it was acquired in 2018 by Veritas. The head office is in Tysons, Virginia. Guidehouse acquired Navigant Consulting in 2019.

History
Guidehouse began as PricewaterhouseCoopers' U.S. public sector business and in 2018, New York private equity firm Veritas Capital acquired the company. It retained leadership, including Chief Executive Officer Scott McIntyre.[1] Deborah Ricci was appointed as its CFO.[4] After the acquisition, it then operated as the independent company "Guidehouse".[1]

Guidehouse acquired and combined with Navigant Consulting Inc in August 2019 for $1.1 billion.[5]

In 2021, Guidehouse acquired Dovel Technologies.The company acquired Grant Thornton LLP’s public sector advisory practice in 2022.[6]

Bloomberg reported that Guidehouse had an estimated valuation of approximately $7 billion in 2023.[6]

Navigant Consulting
Navigant Consulting was formed in 1983 by Richard Metzler as The Metzler Group Inc.; it provided management consultancy to businesses in the energy and other regulated industries. It was listed on NASDAQ in October 1996, under the ticker symbol METZ. In July 1999, the name was changed to Navigant Consulting, Inc.; the stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange soon afterwards. William M. Goodyear became chairman and CEO of the company in 2000.[7]

In 2005, the company was accused of overcharging Los Angeles County in a contract to work at Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Hospital in Willowbrook, CA. County auditors rejected over $206,000 in expenses, including unauthorized first-class airfares to and from Los Angeles, and determined that Navigant had deleted from their to-do list a number of tasks and goals that they had failed to accomplish.[8] Despite Navigant's work, King-Harbor failed to meet federal standards for Medicare funding in 2006,[9] prompting the county to undergo a radical restructuring plan for the hospital.[10]

In 2012, Julie Howard replaced Goodyear as CEO.[11] In April 2018, the company partnered with Baptist Health South Florida to form a joint venture providing revenue cycle management to healthcare organizations.[12][13] The dispute and investigative division of the company was sold to Ankura Consulting in August 2018.[14][15]

After it was sold by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Guidhouse leadership was announced, including Chief Executive Officer Scott McIntyre[1] and Chief Financial Officer Deborah Ricci.[4] Guidehouse services state, local, and federal clients, including the U.S. departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services and State as of 2018.[4]

Guidehouse was considered among the Washington, D.C., region’s largest private companies and in 2018, it was reported that the company had 16,000 employees in 53 locations around the world and $3 billion in annual revenue.[3]

In 2021, Guidehouse moved its global headquarters to Tysons, Virginia, due to an increase in demands for the company's services. It has three offices local to Washington, D.C.[2]

@162 etc.: Hi there! I noticed that the Guidehouse logo is showing up twice now. I updated the Wikidata item with the logo since it got moved over to Wikimedia Commons, and I think that’s causing the second copy to appear. Removing the file name from the Logo field of the infobox should fix it. Because of my conflict of interest, I try to never make direct changes so I thought I’d check if you’d mind taking that out real quick? BINK Robin (talk) 23:45, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
