PrAyaschitta

I think we shouldn't use the capital A to indicate a long sound. It seems that Wikipedia policy would be to use either two a's (Praayaschitta) or to use a with a macron (Prāyaschitta). Feedback? Interlingua 04:15, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Gotama - Gautama

A small point but I think the progenitor of the gotra was called Gotama 'having the most cows'. Gautama is a taddhita compound with the vṛddhi of the root vowel o > au and the Gautama means 'related to Gotama'.
