Gearóid de BarraGarret Barry (piper) –. Article should not have been moved to its current title. The English form is clearly the WP:COMMONNAME and actualy the sources do not indicate whether he went by the English name or not, or indeed if the Irish name is a backformation to Irish.Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Ireland-related_articles#Naming_people is quite clear in showing that the English name is the preferred location here. None of the sources use the Irish name as the primary name. The main source I used for the article was hAllmhuráin's "A pocket history of Irish traditional music". He gives the English name and the Irish in parentheses. Thanks for moving it back. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 21:38, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
