Possible sections for this article:

  • comparison to simple pendulum, explanation of extra forces
  • listing a clear way of thinking about the mess of forces
  • mathematics behind describing it, lagrangian mechanics, forces
  • uses in real world? it seems as if it is a good exercise for programming

I'll add to this article sometime soon. I am quite busy right now. That's a problem. Lyctc (talk) 03:20, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Spring pendulumElastic pendulum – Per WP:COMMONNAME, the physics and mathematics literature primarily uses elastic pendulum for this system (cf. 1, 2, 3, etc.), and spring pendulum is also used for the more simple system without rotation, a vertical simple harmonic oscillator subject to constant gravity. 73.168.5.183 (talk) 15:11, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
