Anthony Henry

Who was Anthony Henry? We don't seem to have an article on him (there is an article for that name but as an American football player). What did he want? RJFJR 18:39, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

@RJFJR: The reason Anthony Henry (the non-football player) does not have an independent article is because he is not wikipedia notable but his one act of being an intruder is notable to be on the list. Geraldshields11 (talk) 21:03, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Standards for inclusion

This is a ridiculously vague list. Samuel Byck never got near the White House. Are you going to include everyone who may have ever considered attacking or breaking into the White House? What about the 9/11 hijackers - some people consider that United 93 may have been aiming for the White House. Or the British in the War of 1812. --Colapeninsula (talk) 11:04, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Another one

Ortega-Hernandez

Is there anything which should be said about Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez which is not presently said in the paragraph in this article, White House intruders? — Arthur Rubin (talk) 16:15, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Merging Ortega-Hernandez into this article is not appropriate. Rather than merely being an "intruder," Ortega-Hernandez fired rifle shots at the White House, attempting to kill the absent president. This raises his notability above that of a mere intruder. Also, he did not physically intrude onto the White House grounds.Bundlesofsticks (talk) 20:32, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

The topics are related, but are not the same. I don't see the merge proposal improving anything, IMO. ~ AdvertAdam on-mobile 21:14, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

Possible page move

The name is quite narrow in scope. How about List of White House security breaches? I just added Doug Hughes, the postal worker who landed his gyrocopter on the lawn. Technically, it was unsuccessful because he didn't enter the "house", but he didn't want to. Listing it under the "unsuccesful" section is misleading. Has that entry no place in this list? It should be listed, even though it has no article.

Aside: 2014 White House fence jumper is having trouble fitting in. We could make a dandy layout if in table format or subsection format. We could do away with this "did he actually enter the house" stuff or make a table column for that field.

Thoughts? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:34, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

No thoughts? Okay. Well, somebody just removed "April 2015 - Doug Hughes, a U.S. postal worker, landed his gyrocopter on the White House lawn." because he didn't actually enter or attempt to enter the building. If nobody objects, I may either modify the lead to say that the White House includes the grounds, or I may move the entire article to List of White House security breaches. This is now the time and place to discuss things. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:13, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

I thought he landed at the Capitol. ( Martin | talkcontribs 14:57, 7 July 2019 (UTC))

Eisenhower Executive Office Building

Should the entry for Eisenhower Executive Office Building be there? Is that part of the WH? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:18, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

Layout of WH

The fact that the layout of the White House is available online and on Wikipedia is a security breach and most certainly belongs in this article. (talk) 10:21, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

1974 White House helicopter incident

@L293D: Would you have time to write a better couple of sentence summary of the 1974 White House helicopter incident? Kees08 (Talk) 17:37, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

Sure, but I'll have to stay consistent with the other entries, so like two lines max. L293D ( • ) 18:04, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

2014 White House fence jumper

This article was merged, but I wanted to share a link here for future reference, to assist with expansion of this article, or for future expansion if sourcing allows. Happy editing! --Another Believer (Talk) 14:19, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

The Insurrection of January 6th 2021

Too soon? I mean people died when the mob rushed the White House so I'd call that an attack.

Big week for American history no matter how you look at it. Shtanto (talk) 02:16, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
