Efficacy
Some Western herbalists claim that, in contrast to Ginseng, C. pilosula's efficacy is virtually nil. Is this correct? Badagnani 05:49, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Edible?
When the roots are used in a Chinese medicinal soup, can they be eaten, or are they typically discarded? (They become quite soft when cooked.) Badagnani 05:49, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Wanted to add to this discussion. Can anyone confirm that the name, when properly translated, means Party Ginseng? I can’t find any definitive link, but my friend said that’s the translation.
