When?/What?

So when was cena typically taken? Was it a midday meal? Evening meal? Was it any everyday thing? Special occasions? Was there any differences in cena between early Rome (e.g. the republic) and later imperial Rome? (For common citizens, not necessarily the emperor.) Were there "courses" during a cena, or was the food all presented at once? Was there typically a main dish, or was it typically a collection of several small dishes? What sort of item would serve as a main dish - was it "meat and two veg." like a stereotypical US/UK meal? -- 174.31.204.164 (talk) 15:17, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
