To all who review this article for citations proving notability, search for citations of The Auk and of the AOU. The historic organization is among the "oft' quoted, seldom written about." Most of the authoritative sources on the organization are primary. The notability of the organization is proven by how often it's members and publications are quoted as authoritative in matters of zoology and ornithology for over a hundred years. • President & President-elect in info box need to be updated (http://www.americanornithology.org/content/aos-governance)
• "Past Presidents of the AOU" section is not working
• Information about the Cooper Ornithological Society should be added to the history section
• Information on selection of Fellows, Honorary Fellows, & Elective Members needs updating (see http://www.americanornithology.org/content/aos-special-membership-classes)
• Publications section - Ornithological Monographs has now been discontinued (http://www.americanornithology.org/content/ornithological-monographs)
• Awards section needs multiple updates (see http://www.americanornithology.org/content/aos-awards)
