Uncited changes to taxonomy
An editor has been making multiple changes to the taxonomy in this and related articles without providing any sources. I've reverted these for now; obviously we'd like to have an up-to-date taxonomy and phylogeny, but since uncited changes cannot be verified (WP:V) this is not an acceptable approach. It will be fine to have the changes reinstated supported by suitable reliable sources. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:55, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
Vespoidea superfamily split
I think this article should reflect the superfamilies currently listed the Vespoidea article.[1][2]Bob Webster (talk) 21:07, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
- I endorse this, but only if the necessary edits are made first to the Vespoidea article and the articles for the other superfamilies, some of which presently do not exist at all (e.g., Scolioidea is just a redirect). The Vespoidea article will also need considerable editing to ensure that what it says refers only to the two remaining constituent families, and not the taxa that have been removed. There are also a lot of the "What links here" links to Vespoidea that will no longer be appropriate, and will need to point to other superfamilies. It's not very difficult, but it's also not trivial.
