The source (Dyer's Compendium) seems to have an incorrect sum of 269 casualties, while the numbers given add up to 275. Scromett 17:52, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

The Iowa Adjutant General's report gives:Killed 44Died of wounds 28Died of disease 207Giving a total mortality of 279!!!!I've gone for Dyer's simply because it is likely to be consistent in its methodology between states and because it breaks down casualties between officers and enlisted. I reluctant to change the numbers given to avoid original research, so I'm happy with the (275?) until we can get better numbers.Scromett 17:58, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
