Goalscorers against Wales

There appears to be some confusion about who scored England's goals in the match against Wales on 29 March 1886.

TheFA.com[1] and www.englandstats.com both credit the goals to George Brann, Fred Dewhurst & Andrew Amos.

www.englandfc.com supports this - see player profiles for Brann[2], Dewhurst[3] & Amos[4]

www.englandfootballonline.com, however[5], refers to Tinsley Lindley scoring in nine consecutive England matches between 13 March 1886 and 7 April 1888 which would imply that he scored in the Wales match.

Finally the match report at Gibbons, Philip (2001). Association Football in Victorian England - A History of the Game from 1863 to 1900. Upfront Publishing. p. 86. ISBN 1-84426-035-6. refers to the scorers as Lindley, Dewhurst & Charles Bambridge

For the moment I have gone with the FA.com version, until I can find a definitive answer. Daemonic Kangaroo 08:47, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
