Maria Sole Agnelli is an italian entrepreneur, major shareholder for Gianni Agnelli & Co, daughter of Edoardo Agnelli and Virginia Bourbon del Monte and, therefore, sister of Clara, Susanna, Gianni, Giorgio, Cristiana e Umberto Agnelli.

Biography

She married Ranieri Campello della Spina from which she had her sons: Virginia (1954), Argenta (1955), Cintia (1956), Bernardino (1958).[1] left a widow after Ranieri's death, she will then marry conte Pio Teodorani-Fabbri, from which her son Eduardo (1965) will be born.[1]

Political Carrier

She will be mayor of Campello sul Clitunno from 1960 to 1970. Her deceased husband, Ranieri Campello, was a count of Campello sul Clitunno, making her the widow countess. She, reportedly, won without ever having to do any speech and won with 850 votes out of 1200 voters.[2] Furthermore, her dead husband’s son ended up being mayor after her. [3]

Other Activities

Maria Sole had an important horse direction: her horse, Woodland won the silver medal at Munich Olympics in 1972.

Furthermore, she is a stock holder of Gianni Agnelli & Co, the company that owns the majority of Exor and, therefore, FCA as she was the nephew of the deceased founder of FIAT, Giovanni Agnelli. She owns about 12% of Gianni Agnelli & Co, making her the second largest stock holder for the family company. She was the president of the Gianni Agnelli foundation but left to give her position to her grandnephew, John Elkann.
