The Novosibirsk Instrument-Building Plant produces optical instruments, automation equipment for industry, miscellaneous equipment and spare parts for agriculture, and consumer products. The production association was formerly part of the Concern "Optoprom".[2]

- 1945 — the plant was awarded the Order of Lenin by decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on July 9, 1945.[4]
- 1971 — awarding of the plant with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour by decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated January 18, 1971.[4]
- 2001 — Novosibirsk Oblast Administration Award for Quality.[4]
